A Medieval or Post Medieval wood bank, defining the edges of Haven Street Wood, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and has been mapped as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. Three discontinuous sections of the bank could be identified. The first, centred at TQ 7432 7248, is 285m in total length and delimits the north west corner and part of the north side of the wood. The second, centred at TQ 7449 7236, is somewhat fragmentary, 228m long in total, and provides the south eastern side of the wood. Part of the south western side, about 55m long, appears at TQ 7425 7235. (1)
