Full Description
Non-hexagonal pillbox. On the cliffs SE of West Hougham. (1)
The available aerial photographs which cover this area have been examined as part of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey NMP (Component 2). From the description of its location given above by authority 1, this seems likely to be one of the pillboxes at Hougham Battery (NMR: 1423481) or the adjacent Chain Home Low station (NMR: 1477687). However, it is impossible to tell which one (2).
