Summary

A series of undated terraces and lynchets were identified at Charing Beech Hangers during a survey of the woodland carried out in 2004. Many of these features may date to the medieval or post-medieval period, however, other could be remnants of a later prehistoric or Roman field terracing.

A series of undated terraces and lynchets were identified at Charing Beech Hangers during a survey of the woodland carried out in 2004. Many of these features may date to the medieval or post-medieval period, however, other could be remnants of a later prehistoric or Roman field terracing. (1)
