Full Description
A medieval or early post-medieval gully was identified at Quarry Wood, Aldington during an evaluation carried out in 2015 ahead of proposed residential development. The gully measured 0.8m in width and 0.14m in depth. A single sherd of 13th century pottery and a small quantity of animal bone were recovered from its fill. Due to the unabraded character of the pottery sherd, the date of its deposition is unlikely to have been deposited much later than the late medieval period. (1)
