Full Description
Bronze Age pottery was identified in a layer of hillwash during excavations carried out at Newnham, Swale in 2011. The pottery assemblage was indicative of activity dating to this period upslope of the findspot, particularly as further finds of Bronze Age pottery alongside worked flint were located during field walking of the castle mound (TQ 95 NE 6).
