A post-medieval brickfield is visible on the 2nd and 3rd edition OS maps at Longfield. The site comprised a brickworks, quarries, brickfield huts, and a tramway. Evidence for 19th-20th century quarrying was identified during an evaluation carried out at the site in 2009.
