Full Description

Date not transcribed by researcher; the potential date of loss could therefore be 1676 -1678, and has been indexed accordingly. (1)

[NB: Prior to the introduction of the Gregorian "New Style" Calendar in England in 1752, the New Year began on 25th March according to the Julian "Old Style" Calendar then in use; thus dates between 1st January and 24th March inclusive are one year "behind" the New Style date, still in use in modern times. Thus 1st January 1675 (Old Style) equates to 1st January 1676 (New Style), and 24th March 1677 (Old Style) is 24th March 1678 (New Style).]
