Full Description
The earthworks of three banks can be seen on aerial photographs taken in 1951. These banks, which have since been built over, were situated to the south of Swiller's Lane and centred on TQ 6926 7104. Although not aligned on each other they all ran roughly parallel to the lane. These banks may have been lynchets formed as a result of ploughing or relate to an earlier alignment of Swiller's Lane. They were mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.(1-2)
