The slight earthwork remains of a post medieval chalk pit can be seen on aerial photographs taken in 1951. This oval chalk pit measures up to 55m across and survives a slight depression in an arable field at TQ 6708 7203.It was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.(1)
