Maritime record TR 36 SE 302 - Unknown

Summary

1622 wreck of English cargo vessel, laden with lead, which was wrecked 'near Sandwich'. Constructed of wood, she was a sailing vessel. An earlier report of 1621 referring to the sinking of another vessel laden with lead at Margate Pier (902053), also belonging to Sir Richard Gravenor, may be the first report of this incident, or a separate report of another wreck belonging to the same owner which, not inconceivably, was lost in the same area. Status: Casualty
