Full Description
Whilst engaged in convoy protection service in the North Sea, was attacked by German bombers. Her guns managed to shoot down three enemy aircraft before she was hit and badly damaged. An attempt was made to tow her into Dover harbour, but she had to be abandoned and sank some hours later. One Petty Officer stoker was killed and four seamen stokers wounded. Lies 135/315 deg. 14-APR-1989 in 51 01 04N, 001 17 15W , depth 19.3 in general depth 26m, no scour. height 8.0m, length 108m. Lies 135/315 deg - upright with bow NW, high point at forward end, superstructure and guns visible on sonar.
