Vertical Datum: LAT Quality of Depth: SWD The RESOLVO was mined in 1940. 23-MAY-1941 Stranded wreck in 51 27 32N 000 50 51E. 10-NOV-1950 Salvage ops which commenced AUG 1950, postponed for winter. 07-FEB-1956 Diving and dispersal in operation. 06-JAN-1958 Dispersal ops in progress. 21-OCT-1958 Lucas wire drift sweep dries, foul 2ft. Least echosounder 2ft in general depth 12ft. Seabed sand. A bottom sweep and also an orapesa sweep set to 8ft were carried out over the foul. Confirms that it was a piece of wreckage. The sweep fouled in the vicinity of the wreckage, when running easterly, cleared westerly, position 51 27 27.5N 000 50 53E. 16-NOV-1964 position [A] 51 27 27N 000 50 39E, position [b] 51 27 22N 000 50 53E [see 012201595]. Two ship drift sweep with egeria; [a] clear 3ft, foul 5ft; [b] clear 5ft, foul 7ft. General depth 11ft. Seabed sand and shell. 13-SEP-1967 Trawler mined on cant shoal in 1940. Wreck just visible at lw datum. The results of Admiralty dispersal ops carried out in 1958 are uncertain. It is believed that small pieces of wreckage were spread over a large area. Position still marked by dockyard wreck buoy. 18-DEC-1992 Shown as osw 1m in 51 27 26.5N 000 50 54E on Port of Sheerness Ltd survey MAY-SEP 1992. (1)
