Vertical Datum: LAT Quality of Depth: ES The EMPRESS OF MIDLAND was mined, 1916. 13-AUG-1918 Position 51 27 30N 001 39 15E. 56ft water over wreck. 05-JUN-1959 A small hump which may not be a wreck with shallow scour. No a/s contact obtained. General depth 78ft, least depth by echo sounder 72ft. Scour 8ft. Sea bed - sand, shell and mud, smooth. Position 51 27 29N 001 39 44E. 10-DEC-1970 Not searched for by sonar or close sounded. Not found during area sonar search. Recommend close search. Sonar contact obtained about 2 cables N. 12-JUN-1973 Found during cable route survey fixed by decca, position 51 27 31.5N 001 39 43.5E. 2m high.
