Vertical Datum: LAT Quality of Depth: SWS The HMS VIMIERA was mined in 1942. 03-APR-1942 Stern section stranded in 51 28 18N 000 55 45E. 22-SEP-1944 Stern part of VIMIERA (a) in 51 28 22N 000 54 45E. Dries 11ft. 17-NOV-1950 Drift swept after dispersal. Clear at 15, foul at 16ft, least echosounder depth 21 in general depth 17ft. Scour depth 30ft. Position 108 deg, 1950ft from E Cant Buoy, position 51 28 23N 000 54 45E. 24-MAY-1960 Drift swept - clear at 16ft. No foul, least echosounder depth 22 in general depth 17ft. Scour depth 26ft. Wreckage does project above surrounding seabed. 14-MAR-1962 Not searched for. 05-NOV-1975 Located in 51 28 23N 000 54 45E. Single ship drift sweep clear at 5.4, foul at 5.9m. Least echosounder depth 6.2 in general depths 5-6m. Scour depth 7.4m. Lies in large scour and is difficult to sweep. 24-FEB-1992 In 51 28 22.1N 000 54 45.2E. Ogb coords - 602250e, 178949n, least echosounder depth 6.4 in general depth 6.4m. Scour depth 7.7m. (1)
