Vertical Datum: LAT Quality of Depth: SWS HMS VIMIERA was mined in 1942. 03-APR-1942 Sunk in position 077 deg, 6.5 Miles from Garrison Pt Lt Ho. Broken into two parts. 26-JUL-1943 Forepart in 51 28 30N 000 51 2?E. Drift sweep - clear at 32, foul at 33ft. This section now lies in two parts following dispersal. 20-NOV-1946 Wreck in 51 28 30N 000 55 30E - 298 deg, 3.28 miles from Middle Sand. Clear at 46, foul at 47ft. 24-MAY-1960 Examined in 51 28 32N 000 55 30E. Drift swept - clear at 43, foul at 45ft. Least echosounder depth 44 in general depth 46ft. Scour depth 52ft. Least depth was obtained 300ft W of charted position. 23-DEC-1975 Examined in 51 28 31N 000 55 27E. Drift swept 5-NOV- 1975 - Clear at 12.5, foul at 12.8m. Least echosounder depth 13.2 in general depth 14m. Scour depth 18m. Wreckage is widely spread over area extending 75m NW of high point. 05-AUG-1991 In 51 28 31N 000 55 26E. Ogb coords - 603027e, 179261n. Least echosounder depth 14.7 in general depths 15.2 To 16.6m. No scour. Wreckage lies up to 75m NW of high point (1).
