Vertical Datum: LAT The SUPREMITY was mined in 1940. 22-JAN-1941 In 51 28 42N 000 59 56E. 21-AUG-1943 Position 356 deg, 1.76 miles from Middle Ground Bn. Marked by G Can Buoy. 14-JAN-1947 Drift sweep after dispersal. Clear to sea bed at 22ft. Surrounding sea bed even, position 51 28 42N 000 59 56E. 23-MAY-1960 Not located using echosounder and sonar. 25-JUN-1968 Located as far as could be determined in charted position. Poor sonar contact. Presumed to be dispersed wreck lying in hollow of the bank on which red sand towers stand. Could not be located from eastward, least echosounder depth 24 in general depths 21-22ft. Scour depth 27ft. 19-JAN-1979 Area was closely examined using echo sounder. No wreck found. Seabed quite irregular in vicinity of this position with general depth 6-8.5m. (1)
