Vertical Datum: LAT Described as a Motor Tanker the ARINA was mined in 1940, 8m ESE from Southend Pier. 1 Life saved.

31-DEC-1940 Wreck is a mass of twisted iron having been burning for several days. Angles observed by RENASCENT when in position with stern of ARINIA transit crane on Shoeburyness Pier distance 70yds - Minster church 45degs 08mins, Martello tower 45degs 12mins, tower on Southend Pier 19degs 45mins, crane on Shoeburyness Pier Lt Warden point 46degs 29mins.

09-MAY-1949 Drift sweep after dispersal clear at 35ft position 51 29 07N 000 51 06E.

7-SEP-1949 Clear to 34ft drift sweeping and echosounder shows original scour holes to be filling in.

17-SEP-1979 Area closely sounded, no wreckage found.
