Vertical Datum: LAT Quality of Depth: SWS The ARGUS was mined in 1940, 34 lives lost.
08-MAY-1945 Drift sweeping and echosounder after dispersal clear at 45ft foul 46ft, position 51 29 12N 000 58 43E.
16-JUL-1948 Drift sweep clear at 48ft foul 49ft position 51 29 13N 000 58 46E.
08-DEC-1961 Drift sweep clear 46ft foul 47ft least echosounder depth 50ft in 57-59ft, scour 63ft.
26-NOV-1971 position 51 29 17N 000 58 40E. Sweep clear at 45ft foul at 46.5ft in 56ft. Scour 59ft. Least depth by echo sounder 48ft bottom shingle and sand. Large wreck easy to find.
23-SEP-1978 Swept, least echosounder depth 15 in general depth 17m. Scour 18m. Clear at 13.8m, foul at 14.2m. Large wreck, easy to find, lying NW/SE.
