Vertical Datum: LAT Quality of Depth: SWS The EMBLA was mined in 1915. She was reported to have been sunk on 04-NOV-1915. Sank approximately 3m ESE from Tongue Light vessel. 01-NOV-1946 Located by sonar. Fouled by oropesa sweep. Clear at 44, foul at 47ft, least echosounder depth 48ft. Position 51 29 42N 001 26 30E - 086.5Deg, 2.78M from Tongue Sand twr. 07-NOV-1946 Amend least depth to 7fms 1ft. 10-NOV-1961 Drift swept - clear at 46, foul at 49ft, least echosounder depth 51 in general depth 54-56ft. Scour depth 61ft. Small obstruction which stands about 1m above smooth seabed. 25-JAN-1967 Small obstruction in 51 29 43N 001 26 30E, least echosounder depth 52 in general depth 56ft. 30-JUL-1969 Examined in 51 29 44N 001 26 28E, least echosounder depth 14.8 in general depth 16m. Scour depth 16.4m. Undulating seabed. 04-JUN-1974 Examined in 51 29 44N 001 26 37E, least echosounder depth 17 in 17-18m. Scour depth 18.1m. 22-NOV-1983 In 51 29 43N 001 26 37E. Least depth 15.2 in general depth 17m. No scour, side scan sonar height 0.3m. In several pieces, lying mainly NNW/SSE. Main section about 30m long. 07-SEP-1989 In 51 29 43N 001 26 36E. Swept clear at 15.2, foul at 15.2m, least echosounder depth 15.6 in general depth 17m. Scour depth 17.6m, side scan sonar height 2.3m. Lies 022/202 degrees. Broken but a good sonar contact and gives magnetic deflection.
