[Area centred TQ 68336953]. 4th.century Roman coin hoard in an earthen pot found near Brewer's Gate in Cobham Park in 1883. The 836 coins, Constantine to Decentius, may have been deposited about A.D.353 [Included is a detailed list of coins.] (1) No information gained as to the present whereabouts of this hoard. It is not in the possession of Lord Darnley of Cobham Park nor is it at Rochester or Maidstone Museums. A photostat copy of a 25" survey of Cobham Park (a) shows a siting symbol at TQ 68236923 with the legend 'Roman coins found here'. Antiquity model Survey carried out.
