Vertical Datum: LAT Quality of Depth: SWS SAN CALISTO was mined whilst on passage Hull to Houston, 1939. 14-DEC-1939 Located in 51 31 52N 001 25 02E. Masts and funnel show. 06-JAN-1940 Position confirmed. 24-AUG-1942 Wreck in 51 31 53N 001 25 03E shows 2 masts at all states of tide. 12-SEP-1947 Reported dispersed clear to 48ft. Drift swept clear at 45ft, least echosounder depth 49.5 in general depth 12-13Fms. Good a/s contact obtained from large area wreckage. 18-AUG-1967 Lucas wire drift sweep - clear at 44, foul at 45ft. Least echosounder depth 48 in general depth 62ft. 06-AUG-1969 Located. Not examined. 03-JUL-1974 Examined in 51 31 53N 001 25 06E. Swept clear at 13.1, foul at 14m. Least echosounder depth 14.4 in general depth 17m. Scour depth 19m. Large, easily found wreck, lying NE/SW and extending nearly 100m. 26-OCT-1989 In 51 31 54N 001 25 06E. Swept clear at 15, foul at 15.2m. Least echosounder depth 15.3 in general depth 17m. Lies in own scour, side scan sonar height 1.1M. Dispersed wreckage, lying NE/SW in 4 separate parts. Gives large magnetometer deflection.
