Vertical Datum: LAT Quality of Depth: SWS The DALRIADA was sunk by a mine in 1942. 03-AUG-1945 Dispersed clear to 45ft position 51 32 30N 001 13 18E 21-AUG-1945 Drift sweep clear at 48ft foul at 50ft. Swept by a/s position 51 32 30N 001 13 14E. 10-JUL-1952 Not swept. Least depth by echo sounder western part 52ft, eastern 61ft. General depth 72ft. Seabed smooth. Scour 84ft. Lying in two pieces 220ft apart in a 245degs - 065degs direction in a hollow in the bottom, position 51 32 33N 001 13 17E. 26-MAY-1954 Drift sweep, clear at 52ft foul at 53ft. General depth 72-84ft, least depth by echo sounder 57ft, scour 8ft. Seabed sand and shell, position 51 32 54N 001 13 26E. 13-MAY-1959 Scott survey clear at 52ft. 06-AUG-1959 10Fms 5ft found by echo sounder. 25-JUL-1960 Least echosounder depth 54ft. 19-JUN-1961 Searched for only scour found on echosounder. 09-JUL-1962 Very good a/s contact and easy to find because of obvious slick on ebb tide not swept least echosounder depth 56ft in 70ft scour 89ft. 04-OCT-1965 Drift sweep clear 48ft foul 50ft least echosounder depth 54ft in 63ft scour 67ft. 13-JUL-1966 Located. 16-JUN-1967 Located. 18-MAR-1968 Echosounder depth whilst sounding 62ft. 12-AUG-1975 Fixed in position 51 32 33N 001 13 15E. Drift swept by single vessel cleared at 16m fouled at 17m. General sea bed depth by echo sounder 20m. Depth of scour by echo 23m. Least depth over wreck by echo 16.6m.
