Full Description

Vertical Datum: LAT Quality of Depth: SWS The DUIVELAND was mined in 1916. 01-MAY-1922 Least depth 32ft in this area. 18-OCT-1929 Swept at LW - clear at 90ft over area 4C by 3C. No trace found. 27-NOV-1970 Possible wreck echo obtained position 51 33 11N 001 41 39E. Four contacts obtained need further examination. 10-AUG-1971 Position 51 33 08N 001 41 43E swept depth 24.9m. 04-JAN-1972 Original area extensively searched (about 0.75M square) using fishermans and side scan sonar. No trace found (wreck almost certainly the one in 51 33 08N 001 41 43E as lengths compare.) 04-JAN-1972 Sweep clear 24.9m (82Ft) foul 25.2m. Least depth by echo sounder 25m in general depth 32m. Scour 34m. On edge of bank lies 052/232 deg about 235ft long. Examined by sidescan. (Due to length being almost the same, this wreck is almost certainly DUIVELAND but could be ALABAMA).
