Vertical Datum: LAT Quality of Depth: SWS The FRANZ FISCHER was bombed and sunk by German Zeppelin in 1916. Formerly a German vessel she had been seized by the British. 03-MAR-1938 Swept clear at 56, foul at 57ft, least echosounder depth 56ft. Echosounder trace shows sweep clearing wreck. 29-SEP-1969 Examined in 51 37 03N 001 40 15E, least echosounder depth 17.7 in general depth 24m. Scour depth 25.5m. 05-JAN-1972 Located in 51 37 06N 001 40 15E, sonar height 19.5ft. 20-SEP-1988 In 51 37 01N 001 40 17E. Swept clear at 16.6, Foul at 16.8m. Least echosounder depth 18.5 in general depth 23m. No scour, side scan sonar height 5.8m. Length about 65m. Intact, lying 020/200 degs.
