Full Description

Vertical Datum: LAT Quality of Depth: ES The FLORES ran aground and took in water aft. Was abandoned by crew and later sank, 1940. 31-MAR-1940 Aground and apparently sank later 2.5 Miles WNW of Kentish Knock Light Vessel. 01-MAY-1940 No wreck visible in 51 40 00N 001 37 00E. Searched for at LW, no surface disturbance observed. 03-FEB-1970 Not found. Sonar contact in vicinity remained unexamined. 25-OCT-1978 In 51 39 58N 001 36 14E. Least echosounder depth 10.2 in general depth 13m. Scour 15.1m. Side scan sonar height not obtained. Length 30m. Lying 100/280 degrees. 27-AUG-1988 In 51 39 57N 001 36 14E, least echosounder depth 9.5 in general depth 13m. Scour depth 14.7m. No side scan sonar shadow obtained. Probably the FLORES.
