Vertical Datum: LAT Quality of Depth: SWS The HARCALO beached near Gull Buoy in 1940 and later dispersed (Lloyds WW2 Losses). She was carrying 7500 tons of cargo. 14-OCT-1946 Stranded in 51 19 39.0N, 001 30 12.0E. 26-JUN-1950 Wire sweep after dispersal - clear at 10, foul at 11ft. Position 51 19 38.0N, 001 30 07.0E. 12-NOV-1951 Examined in 51 19 36.0N, 001 30 08.0E. Drift sweep clear at 10, foul at 11ft. Least echosounder depth 13 in general depth 20ft. Scour runs NW/SE for about 400ft. Stands 10ft above seabed with shallowest part at SE end. Wreck lies on a shallow bank that rises to approximately 20ft. 10-JUL-1986 Examined in 51 19 36.0N, 001 30 11.0E. Only one portion of wreckage was detected. Least echosounder depth 6.6 in general depths 6 to 8m. Lies on edge of a bank which is shallower than wreck. 26-AUG-1992 Examined in 51 19 37.0N, 001 30 12.0E. Swept clear at 5.3, foul at 5.6m.
