Vertical Datum: LAT Quality of Depth: ES The ARCTIC TRAPPER was attacked and sunk by German aircraft, 1941 (WW2SL). 25-JUN-1959 Dispersed clear to sea bed in position 51 19 42.0N, 001 31 18.0E. Located by Asdic sonar. Clear at 27ft, foul at 28ft. Position 51 19 37.0N, 001 31 15.0E. 19-MAR-1968 Very uneven seabed. Not found during thorough search. 28-OCT-1980 Examined in 51 19 37.0N, 001 31 08.0E. Least echosounder depth 10.3 in general depth 12m. Scattered wreckage over an area 40 x 40m. Lies deeper than 8.5m seabed nearby. 09-JUL-1986 Well broken up wreck examined in 51 19 37.0N, 001 31 07.0E. Lies in its own scour (depth 13m). Least echosounder depth 10.2 in general depth 8.5 to 12m.
Originally a Grimsby owned trawler, registration No ST352. Sunk when attacked by German aircraft.
