Vertical Datum: LAT Quality of Depth: SWS The ELIZABETH ANGELA was attacked and sunk by German aircraft in 1940 (WW2SL). Requisitioned in 1939 for minesweeping duties. 25-SEP-1940 Dangerous wreck in 51 19 51.0N, 001 33 01.0E. 15-FEB-1961 Wire sweep - clear at 25, foul at 27ft. Least echosounder depth 29 in general depth 30ft. Scour depth 41ft. On SE side of bank and protrudes only about 2-3ft above seabed. Deep scour on NE side of wreck. 29-OCT-1980 Examined. Lies E/W in own scour in 51 19 51.0N, 001 33 03.0E. Least echosounder depth 9.8 in general depth 9-12m. Scour 2m deep. No sonar shadow. Length 40m, beam 12m. 09-JUL-1986 Examined in 51 19 51.0N, 001 33 02.0E. Least echosounder depth 7.6 in general depths 10 to 13m. Scour 14m. Lies on edge of a bank, the movement of which is thought to have altered attitude of wreck. 22-JUN-1991 Small wreck examined in 51 19 51.0N, 001 33 05.2E. Least echosounder depth 10.3 in general depth 11m. Scour depth 12.8m.
