Vertical Datum: LAT Quality of Depth: SWD The FAUVETTE sank in 4 minutes with 14 lives lost, 1916. 11-JUN-1959 Dispersed to clear depth of 35ft at low water spring tides. 12-JUN-1973 Not found during cable route survey using side scan sonar. 19-MAR-1979 Wreck, least depth 8.6m located in 51 24 01.0N, 001 29 01.0E. 24-JUL-1979 Examined and swept by wire in 51 24 03.0N, 001 28 58.0E. Least echosounder depth 7.9m in general depth 13m. Clear at 7.5m, foul at 9.25m. 28-SEP-1986 Examined in 51 24 01.0N, 001 29 00.0E. Least echosounder depth 8.0 in general depth 11 to 13m. No scour. Lying 145/325 degrees, approximately, on edge of area of confused sandwaves.
