Full Description
Coins found at Cobham "includes one Phoenician, one Carthaginean, one=of Alexander the Great, four of Syracuse belonging to the third century B.C., one Greek, and one Cilicia of about 200 B.C., all in comparatively good condition". Excavations in Cobham Woods yielded two Egyptian coins of 2nd c. B.C. (1) No further information - the author of these remarks, A. J. Philip, is now dead. (2)
