The evidence below have all been obtained from (1).
Method of Fix: 5 Horizontal Datum:OGB Sank following a collision with SS SINDORO, 1914 (See 51 29 28.0N, 000 50 50.1E). This record is for the south part of the wreck.

20-JAN-1919 Wreck of barque DOVENBY in 51 29 27.0N, 000 50 54.0E.

11-JAN-1924 Least depth 34.5ft in 51 29 30.0N, 000 50 54.0E. 10-DEC-1924 Dispersed.

28-JUL-1959 Clear at 35ft, foul at 37ft. Least echosounder depth 35ft.

30-JUN-1967 Underwater cutting operations being carried out to disperse wreck of DOVENBY.

23-JAN-1969 Least echosounder depth now 40ft in general depth

28-FEB-1969 Wreck lies in two parts. Now has a least depth of 40ft over both parts.

21-JUL-1967 Drift swept by single vessel. Cleared at 41.5ft, Fouled at 42ft. Least echosounder depth 41.75ft in general depth 45ft. Scour depth 50ft. Seabed - sand and shell. Position - 51 29 23.0N, 000 50 56.5E.

07-SEP-1979 Swept. Clear at 12.2m, foul at 12.4m. Least echosounder depth 12.4m in general depth 14-15m. Scour 18m. Large wreck and easy to find.

02-MAY-1990 Examined. Least echosounder depth 13.3m in general depth 13.1m. Scour, up to 18.2m deep, extends 170m W.
