Full Description
Remains of an attempted cross Channel tunnel at Abbots Cliff (TR 2738) near Folkestone. The first attempt was made by Sir Edward Watkin's English Channel Tunnel in 1880. In 1922/23 the attempt was revived but again abandoned. (1)
