Full Description
At least three sets of mine galleries exist in the south east corner of Mote Park (TQ 7764). Survey in 1990 suggested that at least 50m of working still existed, though the condition of the whole workings was unstable. The site was an underground quarry for the extraction of Kentish Ragstone for building. No dating evidence was available. (1)
