Findspot record TR 26 NE 161 - Human remains and lead coffin, Coldharbour, St. Nicholas at Wade parish
Summary
Human remains were reportedly found on at this location during work to repair storm defences by the Southern Water Authority. The finds were apparently made in the sediments beneath the shingle. A lead coffin has also been reported from the site although this has since been sold for scrap. No further information about these discoveries was available.
