Summary

The remains of an 18th century brickworks are located in the grounds of Benenden school. The Hemsted Brickworks operated in the 18th century and is marked on an estate plan from 1779. Two brick firing tunnels are all that remain.

TQ 80053403. In the grounds of Benenden school is the site of Hemsted Brickworks which operated in the 18th century (shown on an estate plan of 1779. Two brick firing tunnels remain. (1-2)
