Description from record TR 03 NE 137:
The following text is from the original listed building designation:
TR 03 NE ALDINGTON FRITH ROAD (south side) 4/35 Poulton Farmhouse GV II House. C15, extended and altered C17-Cl9. Timber framed and exposed with plaster infill and painted brick and extended with painted brick. Plain tiled roof. End jettied hall house of four framed bays, extended 1 bay to north-west (left of main elevation). Two storeys and attic on plinth, with jetty to right return (and exposed frame to left of now obscured jetty). Large hipped roof with gablet to right and stacks to end left and to end right and clustered to centre right. Hipped dormer to left, and large projecting 2 storey hip to centre, with canted 2 storey bay and French doors on ground floor. Two wooden casements to left and to right on each floor, and canted bay to left with French doors. Wide plank and stud door to right in four centred arched doorway with enriched spandrel. Crown post roof. Manorial site. (Hasted VIII, p.315).
