The following text is from the original listed building designation:
1. 5272 CHARING PLUCKLEY ROAD Raywood Farmhouse TQ 94 NW 10/80 II 2. Probably a late mediaeval hall-house. Two storeys red brick and grey headers. Hipped tiled roof with smoke louvres. Four casement windows.

Three bays of a late medieval jettied timber framed house survive, probably a fourth bay, to the north, has been reconstructed. Possibly built in the 16th century and altered in brick in the 18th century. (2)
