Full Description
Registration No. ROCHESTER 68428 Precise coordinates not available, last known location of vessel reported by Society for Spritsail Barge Research. Sappho was built at Limehouse in 1873. She was owned successively by Wood, Rutland, Austen and Bensted. She is noted as a stumpy, as a house barge in 1938, a hulk in 1958 and as being broken up. Date reported as a house barge taken as date of loss. (1)
