Full Description

TQ 60406650. A 'hoard' of 13 Palaeolithic flints was found in the corner of a shed being demolished in Ash Road. They comprised eight twisted ovates, ore Acheulian axe, three smaller axes and an iron stained Clactonian flake. P.J. Tester, FSA suggested that they may have been gathered locally in the 19th century. (1) Not mentioned in the Gazetteer of Upper Palaeolithic sites in England and Wales. (2)

Impossible to know where these handaxes came from; could be anywhere, and not necessarily all from the same site.
