Outside this, at NE corner of wood a series of small enclosures plus another rectangular one at the N side by a track entrance. A 2017/2018 desk based assessment prepared for High view, east of the wood, included a review of the earlier surveys and included the review "A survey of the woods was conducted in the winter of 1970 (Caiger 1971:205). The survey recorded the remains of a 1m high bank with a ditch on the outside
which encloses a major part of the wood. At the northeast side of the wood lying immediately outside the main high bank are a series of small enclosures with each enclosure separated by a low bank. The author of the survey along with input by Dr A. Baker suggests that the series of earthworks represent management of land for agricultural use." (4)
