Full Description
Registration No. FAVERSHAM 89868 Precise coordinates not available, last known location of vessel reported by Society for Spritsail Barge Research. GOLD BELT (ex ORION) was built at Rochester by Gill in 1892. She was owned successively by Payne, W Green and J Corello. She is described as an auxilliary in 1942, then as a barge yacht and a house barge. (1). This part of the creek is filled with houseboats. None look like spritsail barges. The road by the creek is private so no access was available at this point during the 2005 coastal survey (2)
