Full Description

In the Admiralty Court of the Cinque Ports it was reported that the a piece of brass ordnance had been recovered out of a ship cast away on the Goodwin (Goodwyn) Sands. The ship of war of Flushing belonged to the States of the United Provinces and was lost in November. Her captain was Cornelius Everdson and salvage was carried out by men of Ramsgate. Peter Mace, merchant of Sandwich claimed the ordnance on behalf of the States and also appeared on behalf of a merchant (?Paul Birrnbourg of Hamborough), to claim 60 frails of raisons and 2 barrels of almonds.
