Full Description
In the Admiralty Court of the Cinque Ports on 10 April 1739 a claim was heard against a number of Calais merchants for quantities of brandy, indigo and other goods saved out of the dogger, St James, of Calais, Francis Merrier the master. An order was made for salvage to be paid on goods at Dover, Deal, Folkestone and Hythe. Date of case report given as date of loss.
