Full Description
In the Admiralty Court of the Cinque Ports on 04 January 1689 (1690 new calendar) the case was heard of the Fortune of Newport which drove on shore and broke to pieces on the beach near Dover. A later report refers to the salvage of cables, cordage and sails. The date of the wreck is given as December last. (1)
