Full Description

In the Admiralty Court of the Cinque Ports on 6 December 1690 the case was heard concerning goods salvaged near Ramsgate from the Richard and Thomas. Date of case report given as date of loss. NB: One of the possible candidates for identification with the loss of a prize [q.v.] to an Ostend privateer, blown out of the Downs and wrecked near Sandwich a few weeks earlier, although it may be that an English vessel would not have been captured and conveyed to English waters in the Downs.
