Full Description
In depositions regarding the right of wreck in 1724, the following case is noted. A small French dogger came on shore within the liberty of Lydd, to the eastward of Dungeness. Most of the cargo was lost but
some was salvaged by local people wading into the sea as the vessel
broke to pieces. The vessel carried brandy, wine, skins, indigo, cloth and mustard seeds. The date is given as the `6th day of December last'. (1)
