Full Description
In depositions regarding the right of wreck in 1724, the follwoing case is noted. A Dutch hoy came on shore within the liberty of Lydd to the westward of Dungeness. Her cargo of French white wine was
collected off the beach by local people, the date being given as `17
December last past.' (1)
