Full Description

The barge East Kent, owned by Pace and Mark of London, was carrying sand from London. The Harbour Masters report for 09 November 1915 describes how a change in speed from the towing tug allowed East Kent to strike the tug causing her own anchor to pierce her side. She was run ashore at the second bight. It was stated that she needed to be raised but her lifting was not reported. (1)
