The above surveys show this area to be intensively used for mooring of vessels. The four photographs show changes in the vessels in the location, and a slow development of mooring for small leisure craft. It is not possible to determine which barges have been buried or incorporated into facilities and which have been removed or were extant working craft at the time of the surveys. The breakwaters marked on the OS map are, for example, composed of barges. The Society for Spritsail Research publication note a number of barges in this location but it has not been possible to relate these to the surveys. Vessel also located during walkover survey (13).
