Full Description
[Area Centred TQ 62286066] Sites of Eolithic finds. [TQ 62266066] Site of Palaeolithic find. (1) Notes by Benjamin Harrison referring to a spread of ochreous gravel in the "top corner of the field due east of Plat (Platt) House" and to the finding of Eoliths and Palaeoliths near Platthouse. (2) Harrison collection, further information - see TQ 65 SW 2. (3) One Palaeolithic handaxe in Herne Bay Museum from "Plot" [=Plat/Platt] Farm, recorded by Roe in the 1960s (5).
